Welcome to Carlin Park Elementary School!

The staff at Carlin Park is dedicated to meeting all children at their educational level and encouraging them to grow and learn to the best of their abilities.  Our specific direction and purpose statements are listed below: 

Carlin Park's Direction: Developing independent lifelong learners who are productive, caring citizens. 

Our Purpose
: Carlin Park Elementary is a child-centered learning community, in which caring role models challenge all learners to achieve individual success.  

These statements are supported by our District's Belief Statements.  
We believe that:

  • All individuals can learn.
  • Individuals learn differently.
  • Each individual has value. 
  • The family is the primary influence on the individual's development.
  • Attitude of the individual always affects performance.
  • Each student has a responsibility to contribute to society.
  • A nurturing and caring environment enhances a student’s confidence in oneself and contributes to his/her success.
  • Learning is a lifelong process.
Our School Improvement Goals are listed below:
  1. All students at Carlin Park Elementary School will become proficient readers. 
  2. All students at Carlin park Elementary School will become proficient mathematicians.  
In addition to our academic emphasis, we strive to create students of strong character.  To do so, we have implemented the Six Pillars of Character.  They include: 

- Be honest * Don't deceive, cheat or steal * Be reliable - do what you say you'll do * Have the courage to do the right thing * Build a good reputation * Be loyal - stand by your family, friends and country    

Respect - Follow the Golden Rule * Be tolerant of differences * Use good manners, not bad language * Be considerate of the feelings of others * Don't threaten, hit or hurt anyone * Deal peacefully with anger, insults and disagreements
